DR. TANYA HALIKIAS

Dr. Halikias graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 1999 with a bachelor of science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology. She received her doctorate at the Illinois College of Optometry in 2007 graduating Magna Cum Laude. Due to her exceptional analytical skills, Dr. Halikias was awarded the Lawerence P. Feigenbaum Clinical Optometry Memorial Award for the best clinician in her class as well as the Richard J. Obrien II Award for top residency candidate. Dr. Halikias then went on to complete a post-doctoral residency in primary care and ocular disease at the Illinois Eye Institute. Adding to her vast experience, Dr. Halikias is a rare member of a select group of only approximately 10% of optometrists to complete a residency. She also is a clinical faculty member at the Illinois College of Optometry, training new generations of optometrists to provide better eye care for all.
